As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I have three children currently attending Lakeview. I love this school, and everyone in it. Mrs. Dennis, as Principal, is wonderful with all the kids, and has such a warm, loving heart for each and every student and parent in her Lakeview Family. Mrs. Beatty, in 4K, has been there for all of my kids first years and I couldn't recommend a better person to keep them safe and loved when I can't be with them. Miss O'Brien with the 5K/1st graders has taught 2 of mine, and I can tell you she gives her all with her students. Ms. Robb and Ms. Wendt, with 2nd/3rd grade continually challenge my two oldest to think creatively, and to open their minds to possibilities outside the norm. I can't wait to see what the next few years will hold for my children, but I know they will be taught well, treated with respect, and shown how to broaden their minds. Thank you to everyone at Lakeview for your support! Close Quote

Open Quote My sons both attended Lakeview (one is still there). We've had involvement with the school for 6 years. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the students. My boys score very high on statewide tests and are continually challenged to do even better. We moved after their first couple of years at Lakeview. They would have attended another South Milwaukee School but we wanted them to stay at Lakeview. We filled out paperwork yearly so they could continue/finish their Elementary days there. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
