As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote As both a teacher and a parent of students who are open enrolled to North Cape, we are grateful for the academic excellence and rigor, as well as the strong relationships that are developed between student, teacher and their families. Educational decisions are based upon the individual needs of each student. The administrator is compassionate, knowledgeable and truly cares about each student, along with the teachers and staff. North Cape School continues to be progressive with technology, professional development and curriculum. Close Quote

Open Quote The best decision I could have made was to send my kids to North Cape! The entire staff and principal have been so welcoming to my children. The staff is by far the best! My children have been learning so much and getting personalized attention to help them both grow. The kids have not had anything bad to say about the school. The small class sizes are a huge benefit for the school. All of the teachers communicate with concerns/positive comments about my children. North Cape's overall culture is so welcoming and positive, keeping the needs of the students first and foremost. Keep up the great work NC! Close Quote

Open Quote This school is by far the best on the planet! Small enough to be like a family, high quality teachers and assistants and an outstanding Superintendent/Principal who has been a true leader the past 9 years. Previous administration had favorites among kids and staff, ignored issues and the environment was negative. That has all changed and ALL kids and families feel welcome now and are able to learn in this positive environment. I can't say enough about how much my kids love North Cape! So happy we are able to experience this gem of a school! Close Quote

Open Quote Very disappointed with the administration and school board at this district. Concerns are not taken seriously. Administration continues to change the grading system and does not offer parents tools to effectively participate in a child's education. There is a reason that over 20 families have voluntarily left the district over the last 6 years. Close Quote

Open Quote Very disappointed in this schools superintendent and school board. It is most definitely NOT the best school on the planet as they claim. Some of the teachers are AMAZING but it wasn’t enough to keep our kids here. We pulled them out, as have so many other families. There is a huge problem here and he has to go or this school will continue to fall apart, figuratively and literally. Tax dollars are not spent well at this school. Our small community is being taken advantage of by the superintendent/principal and I don’t think very many tax payers even realize it. So sad! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
