Lancaster High is a public high school in Lancaster, Wisconsin, serving grades 9–12 with about 325 students, making it the second-largest high school among the small rural schools within roughly 19 miles — behind only Platteville High — and part of the Lancaster Community School District.

Academically, Lancaster High is a solid, mid-pack school locally that has slipped recently. Its statewide rank moved from the 74th percentile (4 stars) in 2023–2024 to the 60th percentile (3 stars) in 2025–2026. On 2025–2026 10th-grade tests, Lancaster scored above the state average in ACT English/language arts (51.39% vs. 48.47%), math (45.83% vs. 42.93%), and science (48.61% vs. 43.20%), but slightly below the state in social studies (46.84% vs. 48.25%). Among nearby schools, Fennimore High, Potosi High, and Platteville High rank higher overall and post stronger scores in several subjects, while Lancaster is clearly ahead of Boscobel High and Wauzeka High and roughly comparable to Iowa-Grant High.

Two areas stand out for families. First, chronic absenteeism is 20.3% — higher than the state (17.3%) and much higher than the district (12.4%), and second only to Cassville High locally.
