Summary

Bay View Middle is a public middle school in Green Bay, Wisconsin, serving about 820 students in grades 7–8 in the Howard-Suamico School District, making it one of the larger middle schools in its comparison group. In 2025–2026 it ranked 149th of 643 Wisconsin middle schools — the 77th percentile, with 4 stars — while its district ranked 61st of 432 (86th percentile, 4 stars). That is a step down from 91st of 628 in 2024–2025 and a peak of 75th of 640 in 2022–2023, so Bay View remains solidly above average despite a recent dip.

Test scores are the clearest strength. Bay View exceeded the Wisconsin proficiency rate in every tested subject, with math standing out: 7th-grade math was 75.06% versus the state's 55.67%, nearly 20 points higher, and 8th-grade math was 68.29% versus 53.67%. Subgroup effectiveness was highest for English Language Learner students (89th percentile) and special education students (88th percentile), while lower-income students and some other groups were closer to average.
