Putnam Heights Elementary is a K–5 school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, serving 422 students as part of the Eau Claire Area School District in a mid-sized city in the Chippewa Valley. In 2025–2026 it ranked 428th of 1,039 Wisconsin schools — the 59th percentile with 3 stars — placing it above the statewide median and above its own district's 48th-percentile standing.

The school's clearest strength is attendance: chronic absenteeism was just 5.9% in 2024–2025, far below the district's 16.4% and the state's 17.3%, and lower than nearly every nearby school. Only Sherman Elementary (4.2%), Chippewa Valley Montessori Charter School (4.1%) and Altoona Intermediate (5.4%) were lower, while schools that currently outrank Putnam Heights — Robbins Elementary (9.8%), Manz Elementary (10.1%) and Meadowview Elementary (10.4%) — had noticeably higher absenteeism. Among student groups, students with disabilities are a standout at the 73rd percentile (4 stars), and low-income students improved from the 28th to the 48th percentile. Per-student spending is $19,774 and the student-teacher ratio has improved to 11.7, yet results stay mid-pack: Meadowview spends $15,950 and Manz $17,920 while ranking higher.
