Summary

Zillah High School is a public school serving grades 9–12 in the small Yakima Valley community of Zillah, Washington, with 455 students in the Zillah School District. The school offers a smaller-school setting and has shown meaningful long-term improvement, rising from the 17th percentile statewide in 2021–22 to the 44th percentile in 2025–26, although its ranking was lower than the previous year’s 55th percentile.

One of Zillah’s clearest strengths is graduation: 94.0% of students graduated in 2024–25, well above Washington’s 82.6% and slightly ahead of nearby East Valley High School at 93.5% and Wapato High School at 93.4%. Academically, science is another bright spot. Zillah’s 2025–26 science proficiency rate was 48.65%, close to the state’s 50.95% and higher than all nearby comparison schools with reported results.
