Julius A. Wendt Elementary/John C. Thomas Middle School is a small public school in rural Cathlamet, Washington, serving 272 students in grades K–8 through the Wahkiakum School District. The school ranks at the 58th percentile statewide for 2025–26, up from the 43rd percentile the previous year, and its district ranks about the 75th percentile statewide.

English language arts proficiency was 51.5%, close to the 52.81% state average and higher than Robert Gray Elementary at 46.89% and Mint Valley Elementary at 36.02%.
