Summary

Cedarhome Elementary School is a public K-5 school serving 433 students in the Stanwood-Camano School District, consistently ranking as a solid 3-star school that outperforms both district and state averages in all core subjects.

The school truly stands out for its strength in math and science, where its proficiency rates are significantly higher than most nearby schools. For example, its math scores are well above those at Elger Bay Elementary and Utsalady Elementary, and its science achievement leads the local area. Cedarhome is also notably effective in supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, achieving strong outcomes that surpass schools with similar student populations in neighboring districts like the Lakewood School District.

While maintaining stable, mid-to-upper tier performance, the school has areas for growth, particularly in supporting its Special Education students. Its per-student spending is moderate compared to peers, suggesting efficient use of resources to achieve these results. Within its own district, Twin City Elementary is a close comparable, but Cedarhome's consistent track record and strengths in key subjects make it a high-performing option in the region.

Open Quote First day of school for my second grader and was surprised in that all of the students were greeted with all of the teachers outside clapping along with great welcoming music not to mention a red carpet for the kids to come across. Wow that was pretty cool! So far so good! Nothing but a flawless experience so far. The next day the cross walk guard asked if my son was new and I said yes and his name ! She new exactly what grade and what class and that he was new ! Another wow! The largest elementary school
