Evergreen Elementary is a PK–5 school in Lakebay serving 336 students in the Peninsula School District, a comparatively strong Washington district, with a 16:1 student-teacher ratio and $20,126 in reported per-student spending in 2023–24. The school ranked in the 73rd percentile statewide for 2025–26, improving substantially from the 52nd percentile the year before.

Academic results are mixed. Evergreen’s strongest area is science, with 72.92% of students proficient in 2025–26—well above the state’s 50.95% and the district’s 66.05%. Its English language arts proficiency was 50.68%, and math proficiency was 39.19%, both below district averages. Compared with nearby schools, Evergreen trailed Harbor Heights Elementary School, Artondale Elementary School, and Voyager Elementary, each of which exceeded 70% proficiency in both ELA and math.
