Mesa Elementary is a small K–6 school in the community of Mesa, Washington, serving about 220 students in the North Franklin School District, with nearby comparison schools in Basin City, Connell, and the Othello area.

Mesa currently stands out as the strongest of the three North Franklin elementary schools in statewide rankings. It ranked 469th of 1,138 schools, in the 59th percentile, for 2025–2026, compared with 886th for Basin City Elementary and 910th for Connell Elementary. Mesa’s ranking has also risen substantially, from the 24th percentile in 2023–2024 to the 59th percentile currently. The school’s latest proficiency rates were 41.67% in English language arts, 40.37% in math, and 48.28% in science. These results were higher than the district’s rates in every subject, and math and science were within about three percentage points of the state averages. Mesa also led its North Franklin peers in all three subjects and had the highest reported science result among the nearby schools.
