Kittitas High School is a small public school serving grades 6–12 in Kittitas, a rural community in central Washington. It enrolls 318 students and belongs to the Kittitas School District, which ranks 108th out of 238 Washington districts. The school’s latest ranking is 237th of 396 schools, placing it at the 40th percentile statewide with two stars. That is a decline from the 58th percentile in 2024–25 and the 67th percentile in 2023–24, although the school’s results have varied considerably over time.

The clearest academic concern is mathematics. In 2025–26, 25.16% of students were proficient in math, compared with 43.11% statewide. The challenge is especially serious in 10th grade, where proficiency was 11.11%, versus 35.42% statewide.
