Central Elementary School is a public school in Hoquiam, Washington, serving 232 students in grades 2–5 as part of the Hoquiam School District. The school serves a community with substantial economic need: 77.59% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024–25. Central ranked in the 7th percentile statewide in 2025–26, an improvement from 3rd percentile the previous year but well below its 26th-percentile standing in 2020–21.

Academic results remain below state and district averages. In 2025–26, 25.48% of students were proficient in English language arts, 17.95% in math, and 20.41% in science. Science is the clearest concern, falling from 42.47% in 2022–23 and ranking 14.60 percentage points below the district and 30.54 points below Washington.
