Open Quote Nativity Catholic School is one of the best schools in the area. The administration, teachers, and staff work hard together to provide the students not only a challenging and rigorous academic program rooted in rich gospel values, but also a loving, nurturing, and safe environment. Open Quote We have been a part of the Nativity school community for 11 years. Our children have all attended Nativity and moved on to Catholic High Schools. All of our children, 2 girls and 3 boys have had an outstanding foundation for high school. Each have their unique strengths. All have found the teachers and staff to be caring and fair.
The Middle School has been wonderful for teaching responsibility and organization. Love, love, love the STEM program! Close Quote

Open Quote We spent twelve years at Nativity School and greatly regret it--especially once the kids became of junior high age. There is good reason people flee this school beginning in sixth grade, and its not all just because they plan to attend public school. There are 14 kids in the previously full 8th grade class. We have found an utter lack of consistency in applying discipline, uniform standards, and even grading. They tout their great technology, but it is poorly utilized. My children, who previously enjoyed music and art, all grew to hate it. Unless your boy is more like a girl, he WILL be discriminated against. Worst of all is if you take your religion seriously, this is NOT the place to have it fostered. No substance. My kids all attend Catholic high school now, and the difference between what they knew about their religion coming in and what other kids knew, was vast. Academically, it is very hit or miss. Without our constant involvement, it would have been a lot more "miss". We definitely do not feel we got our money worth. Recommend you try St. Bernadette's in Springfield--where some of our (best) teachers and students fled. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
