Fairfield Elementary is a PK–5 school in Virginia Beach, VA, serving 478 students as part of Virginia Beach City Public Schools, a district ranked in the top quarter of Virginia school divisions. The school has some real bright spots: its chronic absenteeism rate of 7.4% in 2024–2025 is well below the district rate of 10.1% and better than most neighbors including Tallwood Elementary (9.5%), Woodstock Elementary (10.9%), and Point O' View Elementary (11.5%). Fairfield also shines in 4th grade math, where 84.27% of students were proficient on the SOL in 2025–2026 — the highest among nearby schools and well above the district average of 77.13%.
