Open Quote Exception made for some teachers which are dedicated to teach the Administration of this school seems out of touch with the community of families and children they are expected to serve. On top of that an assistant teacher is arrested for selling pot to a student.... Close Quote

Open Quote Gunston is a great middle school with amazing diversity in its students and staff. Its partial immersion program in Spanish is top-notch and its Spanish for Fluent Speakers program allows students who speak Spanish at home but have never studied it the opportunity to become truly knowledgeable about their language. Excellent academic programs, dedicated teachers, an active PTA, and a principal who is always striving for the best make Gunston a perfect choice. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
