Arcadia Middle is a public school in Oak Hall, Virginia, serving 469 students in grades 6–8 as part of Accomack County Public Schools. After years of ranking in the bottom third of Virginia middle schools, Arcadia has made a dramatic turnaround, jumping to the 52nd percentile (198th out of 416) in 2025-2026 and earning a 3-star rating. Chronic absenteeism is just 10.4%, well below the statewide rate of 14.8%. The school also spends less per student ($9,421 vs. $10,552) than Nandua while maintaining a better student-teacher ratio (10.6 vs. 12.1). Reading remains the main area for improvement, with all grades below state averages, and there's a notable gap between female students (62nd percentile) and male students (43rd percentile) worth monitoring.
