Morgan High is a public school serving grades 9–12 and 1,142 students in Morgan, Utah, a smaller community north of the Salt Lake City area, within the highly rated Morgan District. The school ranks among Utah’s stronger high schools: it was 31st of 139 statewide in 2025–26, placing it in the 78th percentile, after ranking 18th the previous year. Its smaller enrollment provides a different setting from larger nearby schools, many of which serve roughly 1,500 to 2,200 students.

Morgan’s strongest advantages are graduation, attendance, and student persistence. Its 2024–25 graduation rate was 97.1%, well above Utah’s 89.8% and higher than Viewmont High, Bountiful High, and Layton High, though slightly below Farmington High and Davis High. Its dropout rate was 2.9%, compared with 8.5% statewide. Chronic absenteeism was especially impressive at just 6.8%, less than half the district rate and far below the rates reported by nearby traditional schools, including Farmington, Davis, and Bountiful.

Academically, Morgan performed above Utah in both English language arts and mathematics in 2025–26. Its strongest result was 9th-grade math, with 58.8% of students proficient compared with 39.4% statewide; 9th- and 10th-grade ELA results were also clearly above state averages. Science is the main concern: proficiency fell to 45.4% in 9th grade and 34.7% in 10th grade, below state results and most major nearby competitors. Families should also note the sizable drop from 9th- to 10th-grade math proficiency and the recent statewide ranking decline. Overall, Morgan offers a strong combination of achievement, graduation, and exceptionally good attendance, with science the clearest area to monitor.
