Summary:

Nebo District has five high schools serving about 8,448 students in Utah communities, with most schools offering grades 6–12; Maple Mountain High serves grades 7–12, while Salem Hills High serves grades 9–12. Overall, families will find strong graduation results, but meaningful differences in academic performance and attendance among schools.

Springville High has the strongest overall profile, ranking highest in the group and posting the best combined 2025–2026 proficiency results, including the top mathematics score. It also has a 95.7% graduation rate and the lowest student-teacher ratio. Salem Hills High is another strong academic option, with high mathematics and science results, a 95.6% graduation rate, and the second-highest ranking. Its main concern is attendance: chronic absenteeism reaches 39.8%, the highest rate among these schools. Maple Mountain High has the highest graduation rate at 96.2% and the lowest dropout rate, although its student-teacher ratio is the highest.

Spanish Fork High shows the most encouraging recent momentum, making substantial gains in its statewide ranking and improving in English, mathematics, and science. Its science performance is now the best in the group, though its graduation and dropout results are weaker than those of the other schools. Payson High has solid completion outcomes but the lowest ranking and weakest test results, particularly in mathematics and science. Across all five schools, chronic absenteeism is above district and state levels, making attendance the clearest shared issue. Science has improved most recently, while mathematics remains the most uneven subject.
