If approximately 15-20 (citing 17 sources...naming two pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov and dyslexia.yale.edu) of children in kindergarten through 3rd grade (roughly ages 5-9) have dyslexia, based on prevalence estimates from major dyslexia research organizations and studies focused on early elementary school populations...please explain how a school charging $25,000 a year for tuition failed to recognize severe dyslexia and dysgraphia in a student who attended from K-3rd grade. The DIBELS assessment tool, which can be as cheap as $0, requires no certification and is easy and quick, recommends testing to begin in kindergarten. The Texas Education Agency mandates dyslexia risk assessment beginning in kindergarten. Close Quote
