Summary

Rolling Meadows Elementary is a public elementary school in San Antonio, Texas, serving 691 students in grades PK-5. The school is part of the Judson Independent School District, which is ranked 768 out of 961 districts in the state.

Academically, Rolling Meadows Elementary has consistently ranked in the top 50% of Texas elementary schools over the past 10 years, with a current ranking of 2185 out of 4651 schools. The school's performance on STAAR reading tests is generally higher than the district and state averages, but its mathematics and science scores lag behind. For example, in 2024-2025, 63.37% of 3rd graders were proficient or better in STAAR Reading, compared to 41.66% for the district and 52.02% for the state. However, only 31.73% of 5th graders were proficient or better in STAAR Mathematics, and just 17.14% in STAAR Science.

When compared to nearby schools within the same district, Rolling Meadows Elementary generally performs better than Educational Franz Elementary and Coronado Village Elementary, but lags behind Olympia Elementary and Steubing Ranch Elementary in academic performance. The school's diverse student population and high percentage of economically disadvantaged students may contribute to these challenges, and the district will need to address areas of concern to ensure the success of all students.

Open Quote Awesome and caring staff, from the nurse office person, principal and asst principal plus coach K and the whole kindergarten teaching group. They all take the time to give hugs, talks and walks to help my drama twins deal. And now they have Mrs Sampson and Mrs Espinosa in 1st grade that are just more people on their list who supports them. Close Quote
