Summary

Trinity Lakes Elementary in Fort Worth, TX, is a mid-sized school serving 657 students in grades PK-6 and is part of the highly-regarded Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (Isd), which ranks in the top 20% of Texas districts.

This school stands out for its strong and consistent upward trend in academic performance, moving from the 59th percentile statewide in 2016-2017 to the 78th percentile in 2025-2026. A key strength is its exceptional effectiveness with students from low socio-economic backgrounds, ranking in the 86th percentile for serving this group. Trinity Lakes also excels in upper elementary grades, with 5th and 6th-grade Reading scores significantly outpacing both district and state averages. For example, 6th-grade Reading proficiency at Trinity Lakes (69.77%) far exceeds nearby Bellaire Elementary (36.36%) and Harrison Lane Elementary (49.3%). Compared to its closest neighbor, River Trails Elementary, which has a similar overall ranking, Trinity Lakes shows stronger performance in upper-grade Math, while River Trails excels in early-grade Reading.

While Trinity Lakes is a high-performing outlier compared to nearby schools in the Fort Worth Independent School District (Isd), such as Lowery Road (37th percentile) and John T White Elementary (8th percentile), it faces challenges. The school struggles with performance for its Multi-racial and African American student populations, and there has been a recent sharp decline in performance for English Language Learners. Additionally, a recurring issue across the district is a struggle with 5th Grade Science, where Trinity Lakes' score (33.33%) was low in absolute terms despite being above the state average. Addressing these equity gaps will be key to continuing its positive trajectory.

Open Quote My son is a 5th grader at West Hust Elementary. Simply put, we, both my son and I, hate it. The school is old. The communication between teachers and parents is non-existant. It seems as if the teachers are okay with letting a kid fail. My son is not a dummy, the information is not being presented to him correctly. The learn the material one way and on all of the tests, the teachers switch up the information. Don't bring your kid here. My son will not be attending this school next year. Close Quote
