As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My daughter has attend hidden hollow for 3yrs now . We loved all of her teachers parent teachers communication is great . We never had a problem with anything while she was enrolled . Until our son started school mined you he is completely different from our daughter. He is failure to thrive ADHD with PTS with emotional disturbances and behavioral problems and food hoarding . We informed the school about all of these all his medical papers were faxed from his doctors. Well the school nurse disagreed with his diagnosis and called CPS on our family saying that our son wasn't being feed . And that it's not fair that there are restrictions for him and not our daughter. And that he's so small Well the case was closed . I am highly upset she knew about everything and still called she made it a personal problem . They have great teachers but the beware of the school nurse and the school registrar. Close Quote

Open Quote My granddaughter has just completed fifth grade. She attended Hidden Hollow from kindergarten through fifth grade. I can't even begin to tell you how lucky I feel that she was able to attend such a WONDERFUL school. She loved it! The teachers as well as the principal have done a great job. These children are learning a lot, both emotionally and academically. Hats off to all of you!!! I only hope that her jr. high experience is just as wonderful. Close Quote

Open Quote Poor communication! Teacher websites aren't current. I'm concerned about the number of half days that Humble ISD has for the school. Any information we have gotten has been from us being proactive and asking the school. The newsletter and website don't give information about student programs. In addition it seems that there are some teachers who are not truly passionate about their job. Students are permitted to bring electronics to some classes which is a distraction to learning. Overall, not impressed. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
