Academically, Morrison's proficiency rates fall below both the district and state averages in every core subject. One clear strength is attendance: Morrison's chronic absenteeism rate is just 9.5%, far better than the district rate of 13.8% and the state rate of 18.3%, showing that students are consistently coming to school. The school spends $12,764 per student, less than most nearby schools, though Centertown achieves significantly stronger results while spending even less. Morrison's state ranking has declined steadily over the past several years, falling from the 55th percentile in 2017–2018 to the 22nd percentile today. For parents, the story is mixed: strong attendance and standout results in 4th and 8th grade demonstrate the school's potential, but the overall downward trend suggests Morrison needs targeted instructional improvements to reverse its recent slide.
