Summary

Union County High School is a comprehensive public high school in Maynardville, TN, serving 806 students in grades 9–12 within the Union County Schools district. The school is a relative bright spot in a district that ranks in the bottom 12th percentile statewide—Union County High itself ranks in the 46th percentile of Tennessee high schools and has improved dramatically over the past decade, climbing from the 4th percentile in 2016–2017 to as high as the 57th percentile in 2020–2021.

The school's biggest strengths are graduation and advanced coursework. The graduation rate sits at 93.1%, above the state's 90.5%, and the dropout rate of 3.4% is about half the statewide figure of 6.7%.
