Ridgemont Elementary School is a PK–8 public school in Union City, TN, serving 385 students as part of Obion County Schools, a district ranked in the 71st percentile statewide with a 4-star rating. While the district as a whole remains strong, Ridgemont has trended downward in recent years, falling from the 60th percentile in 2022–23 to the 36th percentile in 2025–26, placing it below nearby schools like Hillcrest Elementary School (63rd) and Lake Road Elementary School (44th).

The school's biggest challenge is early-grade literacy and math.
