The school ranks 363rd out of 400 Tennessee high schools in 2025-26, placing it in the 9th percentile with a 0-star rating — making it the lowest-ranked traditional high school in the immediate Knoxville area.

Fulton's test proficiency rates are dramatically below district and peer averages in every subject. Just 5.1% of students are proficient in Algebra I and Algebra II, 11.1% in Biology I, and 15.5% in English I, compared with Knox County proficiency rates that are roughly 27 to 46 percentage points higher. Even the school's strongest subject, English II, has only 31.8% proficient versus 61.1% districtwide. Nearby South Doyle High School — another lower-performing Knox County school — outperforms Fulton in every subject, including Biology (54.3% vs. 11.1%) and English I (27.5% vs. 15.5%).
