Waverly Junior High School in Waverly, TN, serves 443 students in grades 4–8 as part of Humphreys County Schools, making it a larger middle school than nearby Camden Junior High School (373 students) and Houston County Middle School (265 students). Academically, the school has fallen significantly over the past decade: it ranked in the 78th percentile with a 4-star rating in 2017–2018, but now sits in the 26th percentile with a 1-star rating for 2025–2026.
