East Side Elementary School in Elizabethton, Tennessee, serves 465 students in grades PK–5 and is the largest of three elementaries in the highly regarded Elizabethton City Schools district, which ranks in the 86th percentile statewide. East Side itself is a solid but mid-pack performer, ranking 380th out of 1,019 Tennessee elementary schools with a 3-star rating. Its test scores are above state averages in all three subjects but trail the district in math and ELA, and the gap with West Side Elementary School is dramatic: 27.8 points in ELA alone.
