For parents, the standout performer is West Florence High, which holds the district's best state ranking (88th out of 245) and is the only school to exceed the state average in English 1 proficiency (63.67% vs. 60.91%). It also improved its ranking by 11 spots year-over-year. South Florence High is the math powerhouse, having posted a remarkable 90.62% proficiency in Algebra 1/Mathematics for the Technologies 2 in 2024-2025, though its overall ranking (105th) is middle-of-the-pack. Wilson High has the lowest state ranking (115th) and the highest chronic absenteeism (36.5%), yet it ties for the highest graduation rate at 93.2%, well above the state average of 86.7%. All three schools significantly outperform the state in Algebra 1 (77-79% vs. 64.58% state average) and post graduation rates above 90%, a clear district strength.
