ZIP code 02864 has eight elementary schools: five serve kindergarten through grade 5, and three Blackstone Valley Prep schools serve kindergarten through grade 4. Results vary widely; the school averages are 44% in English Language Arts (ELA), 47% in math, and 46% in science, compared with state figures of 33%, 32%, and 31%. The clearest finding is that Community School stands well apart from the rest, leading in every reported subject.

Community School scores 72% in ELA, 79% in math, and 74% in science; its lead over runner-up Ashton School is 16 points in ELA, 16 in math, and 26 in science. B.F. Norton Elementary School is lowest in all-grades ELA and math, at 31% and 26%, respectively—3 and 6 points below the state figures. Its science result is closer to the state: 32%, less than 1 point above. Seven of eight schools exceed the state in ELA and math, and all five with reported science results exceed it. Science results are available for five schools only.

Recent changes are mixed: the ELA average rose 2 points, from 42% to 44%, while math fell 2 points, from 49% to 47%, and science fell 1 point, from 47% to 46%. Blackstone Valley Prep Element had a 14-point ELA increase, while John J. McLaughlin Cumberland had a 6-point decrease.
