The school is part of the Philadelphia City School District, which is ranked 473 out of 606 districts in Pennsylvania and has a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Anderson Add B School consistently ranks in the bottom 10% of Pennsylvania elementary schools, with extremely low proficiency rates in Math and English Language Arts compared to state and district averages. The school also struggles across multiple student subgroups, ranking in the bottom 25% of Pennsylvania elementary schools for African American students, low socioeconomic status students, and disabled students. Despite increased spending per student, the school has not seen significant improvement in its academic performance or statewide ranking over the past 10 years.

When comparing Anderson Add B School to other nearby schools in the same district, such as Hamilton Andrew School and Harrington Avery D School, it performs significantly worse academically. This may be due to the school's extremely high percentage of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, which likely contributes to the academic challenges faced by the school. Addressing the root causes of Anderson Add B School's struggles, such as resource allocation, instructional practices, and community engagement, will be crucial for driving meaningful progress.

Open Quote This school has been harassing me every single school day since 2019 from different phone #'s (I block every one that shows up) regarding a student I have no knowledge of. When I finally spoke with an actual person, she said there's no way to remove my # and HUNG UP ON ME! This school is highly unprofessional! I reside in Atlanta with an Atlanta phone # and have NEVER resided in Philadelphia. The student obviously has not been receiving the important updates and the faculty obviously couldn't care less...
