ZIP code 97603 in Klamath Falls, Oregon is home to six elementary schools: five K–6 campuses in the Klamath County School District and one K–8 program, Klamath Home Learning Academy, in Klamath Falls City Schools. Together they enroll 2,494 students, and the five county K–6 schools serve an almost uniformly high-poverty population, with free/reduced-price lunch rates between 92.32% and 93.70% — a spread of just 1.4 points.

Academically, Shasta Elementary School leads: its all-grade English Language Arts proficiency (49.3%) and math proficiency (36.6%) both beat Oregon's averages (43.8% and 32.9%), and it holds the group's best statewide rank (299 of 709, 58th percentile) on a rising trend. Ferguson Elementary School also tops the state in both subjects (44.3% ELA, 35.4% math) and earned 4 stars in 2023–24, though it has since slipped to 3 stars and the 53rd percentile. Stearns Elementary School is the group's puzzle: it spends far more per student ($26,900) and has the smallest classes (14.0 students per teacher), yet posts the lowest ELA (25.2%) and math (16.7%) results and the only 1-star rating.
