Veneta Elementary School is a K–5 school of about 340 students in Veneta, Oregon, a small Lane County town roughly 15 miles west of Eugene, and part of Fern Ridge School District 28J. In the 2025–26 state rankings it placed 358th of 709 Oregon elementary schools — 50th percentile, 2 stars, right at the state median. That is well below its own district, which ranks 38th of 141 districts (73rd percentile, 4 stars). Its sibling school, Elmira Elementary School, ranks at the 43rd percentile, suggesting the district's strong overall rating is carried by its upper grades.
