North Star Elementary is a K–5 school in Bend, Oregon, serving 319 students as part of Bend-LaPine Administrative School District 1, with a 17.3 student–teacher ratio and $16,823 in per-student spending in 2024–25.

Academically, the school beats Oregon averages in English language arts (51.1%), math (44.4%), and science (35.6%), but ranks at or slightly below its own district and is the lowest-ranked school among its closest neighbors. Four schools within about two and a half miles — Desert Sky Montessori (73rd percentile), Bend International School (90th), Lava Ridge Elementary School (75th), and Ponderosa Elementary (71st) — all rank above North Star's 66th. The school spent three straight years at four stars before dropping to three in 2024–25 and holding there in 2025–26. Results also swing sharply by grade: fourth-grade math and reading beat both district and state, while fifth-grade math (24.4%) trails the state. Because science is tested only in fifth grade, the school's science score is essentially a fifth-grade result. With roughly 45–55 students per grade, these swings deserve caution.
