Ponderosa Elementary is a K–5 neighborhood school at 63100 NE Purcell in Bend, Oregon, serving 464 students in Bend-LaPine Administrative School District 1. It is one of the larger local elementaries and has earned 4 stars in every reported year since 2015–16. In 2025–26, it beat Oregon averages in English language arts (ELA), math, and science, and its math and science results also topped the district. A standout strength is its performance with higher-need groups: low-income students rank in the 87th percentile statewide and special education students in the 81st, both above the school’s overall 71st-percentile rank.

Grade by grade, fifth grade is a bright spot, with 68.6% proficient in ELA and 52.2% in math, both above district averages.
