Summary:
Wynnewood has three schools serving prekindergarten through grade 12: Central Elementary (PK–4), Wynnewood Middle (5–8), and Wynnewood High (9–12). In 2025–2026, results varied by subject: ELA was closest to the state overall, while the schools’ average math proficiency was 13% compared with 25% statewide. Math is the clearest shared concern, with every school below its state result and the largest shortfall at Middle.
High stands out in All Grades ELA, at 37%—11 points above the state and 18 points above the other schools’ average. Central leads math at 21%, though it remains 4 points below the state; Middle has the lowest math result, 8%, or 17 points below the state. Middle is the science standout: 34%, 4 points above the state and 12 points above High. High’s 93% graduation rate in 2024–2025 was 16 points above the state rate, but its math, science, and U.S. History results were below state figures.
Results generally improved from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026: eight of nine school-subject comparisons increased, while Middle math slipped from 9% to 8%. SchoolDigger rankings also rose: High went from the 25th to the 55th percentile (3 stars), Central from the 7th to the 27th (1 star), and Middle from the 9th to the 26th (1 star). Middle had the lowest 2024–2025 student-teacher ratio, 13.1, compared with 16.8 at High and 17.6 at Central. All three reported free/reduced lunch eligible for 2024–2025: 74% at Middle, 78% at Central, and 53% at High. These measures offer context, not an explanation for differences in results; schools serve different grades, so their overall proficiency figures are not grade-matched comparisons.
