Summary:

The Webbers Falls area has two schools: Webbers Falls Elementary School, serving prekindergarten through grade 8 with 186 students, and Webbers Falls High School, serving grades 9–12 with 113 students. The most important concern is the high school’s sharp decline in test results: from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, its science proficiency fell 24 percentage points, from 28% to 4%, while its gaps from state results widened in every reported subject.

The elementary school stands out as the stronger performer in all three subjects shared by the schools, although they serve different grades, so these are not same-grade comparisons. In 2025–2026, elementary results were 34% in ELA I, 24% in mathematics and 24% in science, leading the high school by 23, 24 and 20 percentage points, respectively. The elementary school was also 8 points above the state in ELA I, but 1 point below in math and 6 below in science. The high school was below the state in every reported subject: 11% in ELA I, 0% in math, 4% in science and 19% in U.S. History—gaps of 15, 25, 26 and 22 points. Its 11th-grade results were also below state results in all four subjects.

Recent changes favor the elementary school in ELA I and math, but not science: its results rose 3 points in ELA I and 2 in math, while science fell 7 points. The high school declined in all four subjects, including 9 points in ELA I, 7 in math and 18 in U.S. History. SchoolDigger’s high-school ranking fell from the 37th percentile in 2024–2025 to the 2nd percentile in 2025–2026. Other measures offer a more positive picture: the high school’s graduation rate was 90% versus 78% statewide, and chronic absenteeism was 8% versus 16% statewide. In 2024–2025, student–teacher ratios were 11.9 at the elementary school and 12.6 at the high school; free/reduced lunch eligible figures were 74% and 76%, respectively.
