It sits in a remarkably strong neighborhood — Marion Local High School, Minster Junior/Senior High School, Russia High School, and New Bremen High School all rank in Ohio's top 10 — so Fort Loramie is the fifth-best school within 13 miles while still being top-1% statewide.

Academically, proficiency rates run roughly 31 points above the state average across eleven measures. Algebra I is at 100% proficient and Biology at 98.1%, with math and science giving the largest margins. Graduation has been 100% in four of the last five years, and chronic absenteeism of 2.4% is the lowest in the comparison group — halving Versailles High School's 3.0% and far below Sidney High School's 26.0%. Performance is broad-based: female, male, and gifted subgroups all rank in the 94th–99th percentile of Ohio schools.

Eighth-grade English language arts is the soft spot — 80% proficient in 2025-26, the only measure below 85% and behind Minster Junior/Senior High School (91.8%) and New Bremen High School (92.6%); the dip repeats across three cohorts moving from 7th to 8th grade, though with about 50 students per grade one student equals roughly 2 points. American Government (91.3%) and Geometry (85.2%) also trail Marion Local High School. Meanwhile, the free/reduced-lunch share has more than doubled from 3.01% to 8.15% in two years, though it remains the second-lowest locally.
