Lakota Elementary School is a PK–4 school serving 403 students in the village of Kansas, Ohio, in the Seneca County area, and it is the only tested elementary building in Lakota Local. For 2025-2026 it earned 3 stars and ranked 683 of 1,560 Ohio elementary schools — the 56th percentile — and it has been rated 3 or 4 stars in nine of the last ten years. Its student-teacher ratio is 16.7, improved from 18.6 in 2022-2023.

Its clearest strength is third-grade reading: 77.0% of Grade 3 students were proficient in ELA against 63.4% statewide, a gap of +13.6 points, and Grade 3 ELA has beaten the state by wide margins four years running.
