Herman K Ankeney Middle School is a grades 6–8 school at 4085 Shakertown Rd in Beavercreek, Ohio — a Dayton-area suburb near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base — enrolling 799 students as part of the Beavercreek City district. It is a solidly strong school: 4 stars and a rank of 167th out of 1,046 Ohio middle schools (84th percentile) in 2025-26, recovering from a one-year dip to 77th in 2024-25.

Proficiency is the school's defining strength, running 13–21 points above the state in every tested subject. The accelerated math pipeline stands out most: Geometry at 100% and Algebra I at 98.9%, far above district and state. That said, Ankeney trails the Beavercreek City average in all seven grade-level tests, and its own district sibling, Jacob Coy Middle School, outperforms it nearly everywhere (93rd percentile, 5 stars).
