Ironton Middle School is a grade 6–8 school serving 299 students in Ironton, a small city in southeastern Ohio, and is part of the Ironton City School District. It ranked 514th of 1,046 Ohio middle schools in 2025–2026 (51st percentile, 3 stars) — slightly above its district's 419th of 773 (46th percentile, 2 stars) and near the state midpoint. Math is the school's clearest strength. In 2025–2026, math proficiency was 64% in 6th grade, 65.9% in 7th, and 66.3% in 8th, all above Ohio's 56.2%, 48.6%, and 52%, and Algebra I End-of-Course reached 100% versus 82.8% in the district and 61.6% statewide.
