Within Akron City, Ellet is a mid-tier comprehensive high school. It leads Garfield Community Learning Center and East Community Learning Center in most subjects, but trails National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM High School at Robinson CLC and Akron Early College High School. Neighboring suburban and adjacent districts — Springfield Junior/Senior High School, Mogadore High School and Tallmadge High School — beat Ellet in all six subjects.
