Leggett Community Learning Center is a K–5 elementary school at 333 E Thornton St in Akron, Ohio, serving 383 students as part of the Akron City district. It is the largest of the five same-district comparison schools here, and it is on a modest upswing: its 2025–2026 statewide rank of 1232 of 1560 (21st percentile) is the highest percentile in ten years of data, the second straight year of improvement after a 2023–2024 trough. Leggett also outranks every other Akron City Community Learning Center compared here — ahead of McEbright, Mason, David Hill, Glover and Helen Arnold — and only Middlebury Academy among nearby charters ranks higher. Still, this whole group sits in the bottom quarter of Ohio, so "top of the local group" is a real but limited distinction.

Grade-level results are uneven. Third grade is the weak spot — ELA at 29.1% is 17.9 points below the district, the school's largest deficit on any measure, and third-grade math is 27.8%. Attendance is arguably the strongest story: chronic absenteeism fell from 49.9% to 36.1% over four years and is now below the district rate for the first time, versus nearby charters at 53%–76%. Subgroup results are mixed but notable — English learners rank in the 69th percentile and special education students in the 54th, both well above the school's 21st percentile overall, while gifted and talented students ranked last statewide in the most recent year reported. Per-student spending ($10,514, a 2018–19 figure) is the lowest among the district peers, and free/reduced-lunch data is suppressed, so poverty cannot be measured directly.
