Warren Local is an Ohio district with three schools serving grades K–12—Warren Elementary School (K–4, 779 students), Warren Middle School (5–8, 650 students), and Warren High School (9–12, 565 students)—for a combined enrollment of 1,994 and an overall district rank of 309th of 773 (60th percentile, 3 stars).
Warren Elementary School is the strongest elementary standout: in 2025–2026 it scored above Ohio in 3rd- and 4th-grade math and ELA, with 4th-grade math at 81.6% proficient vs. 67.3% state and 4th-grade ELA at 80.5% vs. 61.8% state. Its prior 3rd-grade cohort improved strongly by 4th grade (math 71.4% to 81.6%, ELA 76.1% to 80.5%), though the current 3rd grade is lower than the prior 3rd grade. Warren Middle School stands out in ELA and Algebra I: 5th-grade ELA 84.3% vs. 70.4% state, 7th-grade ELA 77.8% vs. 62.7% state, and Algebra I 100% vs. 61.6% state. Science is also above state at grades 5 and 8, but upper-grade math is below state in grades 7 and 8.
Warren High School is strong in English II (79.3% vs. 62.7% state), Biology (77.7% vs. 67.0%), American History (82.2% vs. 73.2%), and has a 97.6% graduation rate, but Geometry (34.7% vs. 43.3%) and Algebra I (55.6% vs. 61.6%) lag state. It also has the district’s highest chronic absenteeism at 18.1% (district 14.1%) and its rank percentile fell from 68th to 52nd across recent years. Across the district, math is the systemic weak spot in upper grades, while ELA, science, and social studies are mostly above state. The middle-versus-high Algebra I gap is striking (100% vs. 55.6%).
