Otsego Local contains just one middle school: Otsego Junior High, at 18505 Tontogany Creek Rd in Bowling Green, serving grades 6–8 with about 375 students — roughly 125 per grade. Because it is the only middle school in the district, its results are effectively the district's middle-grades results: for nearly every grade-level measure, school and district scores are identical. The district holds a 3-star rating and ranks 243rd of 773 Ohio districts, about the 69th percentile.
Academically, the school generally performs above the state. In 2025–2026 it beat Ohio on six of eight measures, and in 2024–2025 on all eight. Algebra I is the standout: 95.5% of test-takers were proficient versus 61.6% statewide — a gap of almost 34 points — and 96.6% the year before.
