Bath Local is a small, high-performing Ohio district with four schools — one elementary, one middle school, one comprehensive high school, and one very small digital high school — serving roughly 1,588 students from PK through grade 12, and it is rated 84th of 773 Ohio districts (89th percentile, 4 stars).

Among the three regular schools, Bath Elementary School is the largest, with 727 students in PK–5, ranking in the 90th percentile with 4 stars; its 2025–2026 scores beat the state in every tested subject, from 5th-grade science at 87.6% to 5th-grade ELA at 75.2% (state 70.4%). Bath Middle School (417 students, grades 6–8, 88th percentile, 4 stars) posts the district's most striking result: 100% proficiency in Algebra I End of Course in both 2024–2025 and 2025–2026, far above the district's 81.3% and the state's 61.6%. The middle school also has the highest chronic absenteeism among the regular schools at 12.7% (district 11.3%) and the highest student-teacher ratio at 19.8, while the elementary school has the highest free/reduced-lunch rate at 51.31% yet still produces some of the strongest proficiency scores.

Bath High School (437 students, grades 9–12, 83rd percentile, 4 stars) has an excellent 97.6% graduation rate, above the district's 95.5%, and scored above the state in every End of Course subject. Its biggest swing is Geometry, which fell from 96.2% to 58.9% in a single year — still above the state's 43.3%. High-school Algebra I (76.9%) is above the state but below the district figure of 81.3%, which includes the middle school's 100%. Bath Digital Academy enrolls only 7 students in grades 10–12; its school-level chronic absenteeism for 2025–2026 and its free/reduced lunch are not reported, and its 2022–2023 absenteeism of 71.1% is an old figure based on very few students, so its data should be read with caution.
