As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I have lived in the 900 block of Kirkpatrick St. for 24 years. I have had 3 children go through Grant Middle School and have gone on to graduate and college. My question is, Why are these children allowed to walk down the middle of the street? There are sidewalks on either side of The road. They start walking down the middle of the street right at the corner of Grant Blvd. and Kirkpatrick, right in front of the gentleman that stands at that corner, that obviously works for your school. Why is he there? Teach the kids that it is unexceptable to walk down the middle of the street and if they continue, there will be consequences. The problem with this area is, NO CONSEQUENCES FOR BAD BEHAVIOR. When I was a kid, we were taught not to walk in the street No the kids do it right in front of the "supposed" authority figures. If we continue to put up with behavior like this, their behavior will only get worse. It's sad to see how bad this area has gotten over the last 24 years. My home has been in the family since it was built in 1890. If things don't start changing soon, I will be the last family member that will ever live here. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
