Alice Maxwell Elementary is a PK–5 neighborhood school in Sparks, Nevada, serving 368 students as part of the Washoe County School District. Nearly every student is economically disadvantaged, with free and reduced lunch recorded at 100% for the last three years — a designation shared by essentially every nearby school. Alice Maxwell may not look pretty from the outside, but inside, this school if full of wonderful educational opportunities. After moving my child to Maxwell from a local underperforming charter school, I've seen great educational progress. My child's teachers have been very attentive and my child's skills have increased greatly. The teachers I've encountered are extremely talented and committed to the success of the individual student. I'm certain my child will continue to grow and learn within Maxwell Elementary. Close Quote

The priciple is inattentive. The play ground is full of graffity. Part of which is boarded up. The teachers will not give suggestions on how to help stuggling students at home. Close Quote
