Open Quote This school offers multiple advanced classes, an excellent selection of electives, and a strong fundamental base. They truly have an excellent group of dedicated teachers, that are accessible. Our family has moved several times due to work relocations, truly a top notch school. Very pleased with the educational opportunities, the staff and especially the teachers Close Quote

Open Quote My grand-daughter attended Desert Oasis High School. She was told she could graduate a year early if she did extra studies a earned the needed 3 1/2 credits. The 3 1/2 credits had to be finished by February 2012 in order for her to graduate June of 2012.
She completed the required studies to receive the needed 3 1/2 credits at a cost of $100.00 per 1/2 credit plus book deposits.
She checked with her guidence counslor to make sure everything was completed and was told she had completed the requirements to graduate June of 2012.
We got the graduation pictures taken, ordered the graduation announcements, and ordered the graduation cap and gown.
On the very last day of school we receive a call from the Desert Oasis High School saying she was short 1/2 credit and would not be able to graduate until that 1/2 credit was completed. They would not take any responcibility for this error.
We immediately went to the Adult Education center and signed up for another 1/2 credit at any additional cost of $100.00.
We were informed that numerous graduating students from Desert Oasis High School were also trying to get another 1/2 credit in order to graduate. They informed us none of the students would be graduating with their class because of this so called error. That these students would have to walk in August if they wanted to participate in a graduation ceremony. If nothing else the diploma would be mailed to the student.
After numerous unreturned phone calls to Desert Oasis High School my grand-daughter goes to the school in September of 2012 to get her diploma.
They have her graduating year down as 2011 instead of the proper year, 2012.
Desert Oasis High School couldn't even get her graduating year right.
It's sad when the majority of our taxes goes to this type of school. Close Quote
