Academically, Mojave ranks near the bottom of Nevada high schools — 102 of 105 statewide in 2025–2026 (3rd percentile, 0 stars), down from the 10th–19th percentile in earlier years. Test proficiency is very low: ACT English 27.8%, ACT Math under 5%, and End of Course Science 9.2%. Nearby comprehensive high schools also struggle but generally do better in math and science: Canyon Springs High School (7.8% ACT Math, 10.6% EOC Science) and Legacy High School (8.0% math, 17.6% science), while Cheyenne High School ranks higher overall (22nd percentile) even though its ACT English (17.5%) is lower than Mojave's. Selective, magnet, and early-college options such as Northeast Career and Technical Academy High School (74.7% ACT English, 40.1% math) and College of So NV High School East score far higher.

I graduated from this school and we are given a bad rep and unless you have been there walked the halls had some of the teachers then you cannot say anything about this school because school is what you make it and I made friendships and more here gangs are not formed here they are formed everywhere yes we may be near a jacked up location but I enjoyed my time all 4 YEARS here and I had the best deans and so much more Close Quote
